The Brussels waffle is crispy on the outside and very light on the inside. This makes it the perfect waffle for toppings such as fresh strawberries with whipped cream.

The original Brussels waffle recipe is not that easy to make yourself. Baking is done in the machine at 190 degrees for 4 minutes. Remove the wafer and serve while the wafer is still warm. Characteristic of the Brussels waffle is its size, the rectangular shape, the depth and the large square notches, 15, 20 or 24 per wafer. The wafer also has a very light texture. The Brussels waffle is eaten warm, sprinkled with icing sugar, possibly with whipped cream.
